I'm surprised how often I find garbage in recycle bins, when (usually) there is a garbage bin right next to it. Just how lazy or ignorant are the people who do this?

Almost as bad are the people who throw recyclables in the garbage bin when there is a recycle bin right next to it.

Would you do this in your mom's bathroom? Think about the total lack of consideration you're showing the cleaning staff when you don't bother to bend down and pick up the paper towel you dropped.

Many times I just sit there in bed, and I'm tired, but my mind is racing to solve a problem or something. It's really annoying that I can't just let it go and fall asleep, sometimes.

I just hate Windows XP and Vista, 3 time freezes in the middle of my work just right before I hit Ctrl+S.... Oh yes, the freezes were for no reason.

Every time my server restarts, something bad happens. Either I forget to start up some service, some file is corrupted, or whatever. Next time I'm about to restart my server, point me here, and remind me how much I hate it.

I don't expect most non-geeks to know the difference between a backslash and a forward-slash, but why can't people just agree to say "slash" and leave well enough alone? By now, people know which slash to use with URLs, so why bother trying to be more specific, only to get it wrong?

One thing that really bugs me when walking anywhere, is having to route around slow people. The absolute worst is when there's a group of people who all fan out, making it extremely difficult to get around them. Those people need to leave a path for people to walk through them, or just walk a little bit faster!

I like people knowing where I am. I like it because they know what time zone I'm in to know I'm awake or asleep. I like the fact that my friends know where they would need to be to look me up. I don't like people who just try to be friends with whoever they can find in the same city.

Seriously, I don't know you. I've never heard of you. You happen to live in the same general vicinity as me, that's all. So do a half-million other people. The only thing that sets you apart from them is that you also happen to be a member of the same site as me. Big deal. Please don't add me as a friend.

I hate packing. You've got to put all your crap in boxes or containers, knowing full well that you'll have to unpack them later. It also reminds you how much dumb crap you've got. Wouldn't it be better to just "reformat" your life, and start over periodically instead of trying to bring all that extra baggage with you? Oh well, that's the way life is, huh? But it still peeves me off.
