Why is it that social network owners seem to think it's a good idea to automatically add themselves to the friends of all new users? I don't know you, I certainly haven't had a chance to like you. I don't even know if I like your site, I just signed up to see if it's worth anything. When I see your name on my friends list, I get an answer: probably not.

Why, in this modern, lazy world, do people insist on hitting an extra key every time they write a plural, even though it's wrong? I'd think they'd be glad to avoid the extra keystroke, if only they knew it was unnecessary. I expect such people fall into two camps: those who think it's actually the right thing to do ("every word that ends in 's' needs an apostrophe") and those who don't know which way to go and simply err on the side of extra punctuation ("even if it's not right, it certainly can't be wrong"). I don't even care which camp you're in. Join the third camp, with those of us who actually know the right way to do it.

I won't even get into the whole "it's" vs. "its" thing.

I just got a brand new MBP and the new keyboard layout for the F keys kill me. I have always mapped F12 to Expose, but now it maps to volume up. While I can remap it makes the useful icons on the keys useless. I better just get used to it even though it almost renders the keyboard useless for me.

There is no doubt that yakking away on a cell phone takes a driver's attention away from the road, making them a semi-conscious operator of a huge lethal weapon. Put the phone down and drive.

I forgot my electric razor at school when I came home, so in the meantime I bought a cheap set of disposable razors thinking it would last me a few days. Unfortunately for me, I ended up using half of them on one shave, cutting myself in the process, and using up 45 minutes. These things should probably not be used if you have any more than one day's worth of hair growth on your face! Does it say that anywhere on the package? no.

I can understand how this modern world makes people lazy, but it's only one extra keystroke to get it right. And it's not even a difficult one. See, it's that big honkin' bar at the bottom of your keyboard. You can't miss it. You probably use it more than any of the other ones. But the one time you really need it, it gets the cold shoulder. Please, for the sake of space bars everywhere...give it some love. A lot.

It has one purpose and it is specifically designed to be convenient and easy to use.

Just do it. It's not hard.

No we're not!! I don't know who started this rumor, but I've been hearing it more and more lately, that's NOT true!

It just irritates me when I'm sitting around, enjoying all the beautiful assets of the internet, when suddenly, I get the text message: "HeY Tim!!@! Yous good at them computerboxes right? I needs me a new computerbox with hitec Crysis actions!!! Build me one for free!"
